Sunday Brunch at the Pond

In Minnesota we call the 13 lined ground squirrel a “gopher” and he is our state mascot.  What a perfect choice as you couldn’t ask for a friendlier and more personable goodwill ambassador.  Henry and his relatives are nearly tame and like to run over my feet.  They love attention  almost as much as they love a good meal of sunflower seeds.
