More California Dreamin'
Oh,
no, here comes another Arctic Blast! As
much as we love winter, well below freezing temps are a concern—mostly for the
wildlife. Food, fresh water and shelter
are available so hopefully all God’s creatures around Bon Bon Pond will weather
the frigid wave with little difficulty.
Subzero
is always a good time for some California Dreamin’ with our west coast
correspondent and chief photographer.
Today’s subjects: a Western Meadowlark
and a herd of Mule Deer.

The Ties that Bind
The birdies of Bon Bon Pond send out special calls of appreciation to our west coast correspondent and chief
photographer for her gift of the way cool brightly-colored nylon twisty ties that now
decorate the suet feeders. Each basket must be securely tied to keep the
crows from flicking the latch open and devouring the entire cake. In addition
to protecting the food for the smaller avians, they add a festive touch to a world of white. Muchas gracias!
