Winter Wonderland

The first measurable snow of the season truly makes it feel like Christmas around Bon Bon Pond.  There is something so pure and refreshing about this pristine precipitation as it prepares us for a brand new year of endless possibilities.  Soon we will celebrate a miracle:  the virgin birth of a messiah.  It’s magical; a time to celebrate.  Anything seems possible . . . May all your Christmas dreams come true.

Dust of Snow
by Robert Frost (1923)
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree

Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.

  1. Kathleen:

Your gifs and artwork are heavenly! And what a lovely poem. It lifts my spirit.

Thank you for your inspiring blog.

  2. What a wonder blog you have going Kathleen !!!

I'll keep you posted in on the goings-on over here on "The Puddle".

    Goings On #1

When coming home from the grocery store early yesterday afternoon, I noticed a large number of vehicles pulled over on the side of the road. What was going on - an accident? I didn't know until a bit further up the road.

There, perched on a branch no more than 10 feet from the road was a bald eagle. He was just sitting there happy as could be and obviously didn't care a bit about the vehicles passing virtually underneith him, nor the crowd that had gathered to see him.

It was fun to see him !!!!

  3. Wow! Keep those wildlife sightings coming!

  4. Thanks for the kind words, Choo!
